LET FOOD BE YOUR MEDICINE

Keto/Blood Type Diet Hybrid

Over Carolyn’s 20+ years of practice in the natural health field she has discovered that the best diet combines the low card/high healthy fat component of the Keto Diet with the digestive soothing foods found in the Blood Type Diet.

Keto Diet Fun Fact: Did you know that your cells act a bit like a hybrid car inasmuch as they accept fuel from two sources? Your cells can use either fat (as ketones) or glucose (from carbs/sugars) for fuel. Further, cancer cells only use glucose for fuel. A Keto Diet naturally starves cancer cells! As a bonus, it’s also an anti-inflammatory diet and this is a very good thing!

Keto Diet Rule of Thumb: Keep your daily carbohydrate intake somewhere between 20—50 grams.

Avoid Bad Fats: Avoid fried foods, trans fats, and hydrogenated oils. They cause inflammation, disease, and PAIN! Read labels for the word “hydrogenated” and avoid foods with this ingredient like the plague!

Avoid Bad Carbs: Avoid white sugar, white flour, and processed grains. These “foods” lead to an increase in blood sugar levels and increased blood sugar levels ensure that cancerous cells will have a food supply. Tip: Healthy fats in your Keto Diet will help balance blood sugar levels and curb hunger.

Dietary Note: Carolyn recommends avocados and coconut oil regardless of your blood type. These oils are anti-inflammatory in nature and avocados are rich in potassium!
